Balamory Returns to Tobermory

Tobermory once again welcomed the much-loved children's television programme Balamory back to its iconic island home in late summer 2025.

Supported by Film in Argyll, the production team returned to the colourful waterfront and surrounding locations that have made Tobermory instantly recognisable to generations of viewers. The production worked closely with local partners and the wider community during filming, bringing the next chapter of the beloved series to life in its original setting.

As one of Scotland's most recognisable children's television programmes, Balamory, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of audiences across the country. Its return to Tobermory highlights the unique character, scenery, and charm that make Argyll and Bute such a popular filming destination.
